As an intern at the nonprofit Joshua's Wish, I noticed how outdated their website was compared to other nonprofits' websites. The site contained many broken links was not responsive on desktop and mobile. It's navigation was tricky and had numerous pages that contained little information for the audience. These design flaws detracted potential supporters and decreased potential donations towards a cure.

As a result, upon receiving my degree, I dedicated most of my time towards creating an entirely new website. This involved drafting a new wireframe, improving website navigation, switching hosts and servers, and creating web content that is SEO-friendly and relevant to the target audience. I also educated the founder of Joshua's Wish on how websites operated and the front and backend of website development so that they were equipped to handle any issues if I were absent.

Their new and modern website was met with rave reviews from supporters and colleagues alike and increased traffic and sessions rate. I continuously update the website to stay on par with trends and best practices.

To retain their audience on the website, I created multiple blog posts for Joshua's Wish ranging from topics such as thanking supporters for donating on a special day to highlighting volunteers that have helped the nonprofit in the past. During the low activity months, keeping current and potential supporters informed and entertained about all things relating to the nonprofit has kept the site active and engaging for all visitors.
